BlueBloodz as the name hopefully implies it is a club on DeviantART dedicated to the many of us who love vampires and dark art. I mean, who doesn't love the dark and mysterious right?


If you love drawing, photomanipulating, or photographing anything dealing with vampires, blood, wine, gothica, surreal, mild fetishes, or anything dark and scary this is definitely the club for you! Of course the art style is not limited to the ones above....

Quick History of the Name:

Blue Blood referred to those who were "known" or "notable" and was applied to the highest social class in pre-modern societies. In the feudal system (in Europe and elsewhere).

It is also the name of the seminal magazine of counterculture erotica launched by Amelia G. in 1992. it also provided the blueprint for the modern gothic and alt erotica explosions on the web.

Finally, Blue Bloods is the title a novel by Melissa De La Cruz. It is about privileged Manhattan teens who attend a prestigious private school. They don't realize that they aren't normal until they reach age 15. Then the symptoms manifest themselves and they begin to crave raw meat, have nightmares about events in history, and get prominent blue veins in their arms. Their immortality and way of life are threatened after Blue Blood teens start getting murdered by a splinter group called the Silver Bloods. This novel was definetly face-paced, but for albeit more mature readers....this was the main inspiration for the club's name.
